Jim Brooks, who has been the the "Voice of the ThunderWolves" for 19 seasons, has been covering Southern Colorado sports since 1981 … He has not missed calling a Pack football game since 2010 and has covered 98 percent of all the RMAC games and almost all postseason games in men's and women's basketball … A 1984 graduate of then University of Southern Colorado with a mass communications degree, Brooks lettered for four seasons in golf at USC and helped lead the then-Indians to the 1981 RMAC Men's Golf title … He was also an All-Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Golf Association pick twice for the Tribe … A 1980 Pueblo South graduate, Brooks earned eight Colt letters in golf (4), basketball (2) and baseball (2) … He was also a member of the Colts' 1978 State Championship Golf Team and pitched for the 1979 State Champion Pueblo Elks Legion A Club … Brooks was the play-by-play voice for CNM Sports (Pueblo Community College) and broadcast high school football games for 24 seasons (1996-2019) … A four-time Pueblo City Golf Champion (1990, 1993, 1994, and 1996), Brooks was also second eight times and third five times … He was a nine-time Memorial Day Two-Man Champion with former Pack players Rich Riesner (8) and Steve Ivan (1).
