Bob Busia -

Made 114 tackles as a junior in 1963, which ranks as one of the 15th highest single season totals in school history … Followed it up with 75 tackles as a senior … Recorded a staggering 189 tackles in two seasons after the school switched to a four year institution … Played both linebacker and guard in two seasons at Southern Colorado State College.

Dr. Don Stutters, professor Emeritus said this of Busia:

"Without a doubt Bob was:

  1. The fastest lineman & best pulling guard to ever play here while I was coaching and I think he was the fastest from our institution to ever play that position.
  2. He was also the fastest linebacker, covering from end to end on running plays."
