COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado State University Pueblo baseball pitcher Jacob Petersheim has been named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week after a dominant start in the ThunderWolves' home series against Northwest Missouri State this past weekend.
Petersheim headlined the week for the Pack by delivering one of the most impressive outings of the young season, setting the tone in game one of the series against the Bearcats. The right-hander was in complete control from the opening pitch, working six shutout innings in the Pack's 10–1 victory.
He limited Northwest Missouri State to just three hits while striking out four and issuing only two walks, consistently working ahead in counts and keeping the Bearcats off balance throughout his outing. Petersheim's command and efficiency allowed Colorado State University Pueblo to establish momentum early and build separation as the game progressed.
The performance continued a strong start to the season for Petersheim, who has yet to allow an earned run. Through his appearances this year, he owns a 2–0 record with eight strikeouts against just four walks, showcasing a blend of swing-and-miss ability and poise on the mound.
This marks the second time in his career that Petersheim has earned RMAC Pitcher of the Week honors, as he was also recognized once during the 2025 season. His ability to attack the strike zone, limit baserunners, and deliver quality innings in a marquee matchup made him a clear choice for the weekly honor as he continues to anchor the Pack's rotation early in the 2026 season.
