Ruby Named RMAC First Team All-Academic; Leads Seven Others Named to Honor Roll

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado State University Pueblo senior pitcher Luke Ruby (Fort Collins, Colo./Resurrection Christian) has been named as an 2026 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Baseball First-Team All-Academic Team selection as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

In addition to Ruby's first-team All-Academic selection, seven other ThunderWolves were named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.

To be eligible for First Team All-Academic consideration, a student-athlete must carry a 3.50 or above cumulative grade point average and must have been an active student-athlete at the institution for at least two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters.

The First-Team All-Academic members were voted on by the conference's Sports Information Directors and student-athletes not selected onto the First Team, and who carry a 3.30 cumulative GPA or higher, automatically qualify for the Honor Roll. The SIDs weren't allowed to vote for their own student-athletes.

Ruby was one of 13 players named to the All-Academic Baseball Team as Colorado School of Mines senior outfielder Alex Dunagan was named the league's Baseball Academic Player of the Year as he carries a 4.0 GPA in Mechanical Engineering.

Ruby, who carries a 3.63 cumulative GPA in Computer Information Systems, earns his first career first team All-Academic spot after being named a First-Team All-RMAC selection and a Second-Team NCBWA All-South Central Region selection after being third on the team in both innings pitched (53.0) and strikeouts (36) and was tied for fifth in appearances with 13. He also made eight starts and was 2-2 with a 5.09 ERA and walked just 20 batters on the season.

During the 2026 season, Ruby had five or more strikeouts in six of his 13 outings, including a season-high five strikeouts against Regis and Adams State.
