American Baseball Coaches Association Names Jimmy Pelletier Second-Team All-Region

PUEBLO, Colo. – After putting together one of the top offensive seasons in the region, junior Jimmy Pelletier (Laval, Quebec/University of San Francisco) of the Colorado State University Pueblo Athletics baseball program has been named Second-Team All-Region at third base by the American Baseball Coaches Association as part of the 2026 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division II South Central All-Region Team release announced on May 27.

Pelletier was one of just two players from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference to earn All-Region honors at the third base position, joining first-team selection Evan Bilter of Colorado School of Mines.

The ThunderWolves junior earned the recognition after leading CSU Pueblo offensively throughout the 2026 campaign, finishing the year with a team-best .410 batting average while also leading the Pack in home runs with nine.

Pelletier totaled 48 hits, 44 runs scored, 14 doubles, and 45 RBI while drawing 13 walks across 117 at-bats. He also recorded 13 multi-hit performances during the season and tied for the team lead with 12 multi-RBI games.

In conference play, Pelletier elevated his game even further, hitting an impressive .440 against RMAC competition. Over 27 league contests, he accumulated 37 hits, 37 runs scored, 14 doubles, eight home runs, and 37 RBI, cementing himself as one of the top offensive threats in the conference.

CSU Pueblo concluded the 2026 season with a 27-26 overall record and an 18-14 mark in RMAC play before advancing to the RMAC Tournament.

The ThunderWolves went 1-2 during the conference tournament, highlighted by a statement victory over nationally top-ranked Colorado Mesa University on the Mavericks' home field.

The 2026 campaign also marked the third consecutive season the Pack has won 25 or more games, continuing the upward trajectory of the program under head coach Bobby Applegate.

A native of Canada, Pelletier will return to the ThunderWolves for his senior campaign in 2027 as CSU Pueblo looks to build toward an NCAA Tournament berth next season.

The 2026 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division II All-Region teams and Regional Players of the Year were voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and coordinated by the ABCA NCAA Division II All-America and Coach of the Year Committee.

The ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division II All-America teams are scheduled to be announced on Friday, May 29, with only First Team All-Region selections eligible for All-America honors.

Pelletier's selection places him among the top players in the South Central Region and adds another major accolade to a strong season for the ThunderWolves.
