CANYON, Texas – Colorado State University Pueblo sophomore utility player/pitcher
Tyler Clementz (Gilbert, Ariz./Basha) has been named a First-Team All-South Central Region selection by the NCAA Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) as announced Monday afternoon.
It marks the third consecutive season that the Pack has had a First-Team D2CCA All-South Central Regional selection, as
Tyler Curtis was named a first-team starting pitcher in 2024 and
Christian Castaneda was named a first-team first baseman in 2025.
In addition, it marks the second All-South Central Region honor for a Pack player this season as senior pitcher
Luke Ruby (Fort Collins, Colo./Resurrection Christian) earned Second-Team NCBWA All-South Central Region accolades last Friday.
Clementz earns his First-Team D2CCA All-South Central Region accolade after being second on the team in hitting with a .374 batting average and was second in hits (55), and was tied for second on the team in wins (4) and led the team in innings pitched (64.1), second in ERA among the Pack's starting pitchers (7.55) and was fourth in strikeouts (35). In addition, he scored 25 runs, hit eight doubles, one triple, one home run, and had 27 RBI, along with 16 multi-hit games and five multiple RBI games, including a career-high six RBI performance at Adams State. Tallied a .895 OPS and a .463 slugging percentage and was 4-3 with one complete game in 13 appearances and 12 starts on the mound.
In 2025, Clementz was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference co-Freshman Pitcher of the Year after making 14 appearances and four starts on the mound, posting a 3-2 record with an 8.15 ERA and one save. In 38.2 innings, he allowed 49 hits and 37 runs (35 earned runs), while striking out 35 and walking 12.
CSU Pueblo was one of eight schools from the South Central Region to have a first-team selection and one of five RMAC schools with at least one first-team selection. Colorado Mesa led the way with six selections, while UT-Tyler and Mines were tied for second with four overall selections, while Lubbock Christian and MSU Denver each had three players selected. The RMAC had 18 players named to one of the two D2CCA All-South Central Region teams.
Along with announcing the All-South Central Region Teams, the D2CCA also announced the region's Player of the Year and Pitcher of the Year, as Colorado Mesa senior outfielder Kolby Felix was tabbed the Player of the Year and Colorado Mesa freshman Jackson Eisenhauer was named the Pitcher of the Year.
Clementz helped lead the Pack to a 27-26 overall record and was fourth in the RMAC with an 18-14 record. The Pack went 1-2 at the RMAC Tournament, with the lone win being a 9-8 10-inning victory over top-seeded and No. 2-ranked Colorado Mesa.
