NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Colorado State University Pueblo women's cross country and track & field program recorded a program-best eighth place finish in the USTFCCCA's Jerry Baltes Women's Program of the Year standings.
Under the direction of head coach
Matt Morris, the CSU Pueblo women finished with 36.5 total points in the year-end standings.
During the cross country season, the Pack women recorded a sixth place finish at the NCAA Championships, and then recorded a 12th finish at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships and posted an 18th place at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships that was held at the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl.
Prior to this year's eighth-place finish in the Jerry Baltes Women's Program of the Year standings, the best finish for CSU Pueblo came in 2021-22 when the Pack women finished 10th in the standings.
CSU Pueblo's Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference rival, Adams State took home the Women's Program of the Year title with a total of eight points after winning the national titles in both cross country and indoor track & field and sixth at the outdoor track & field championships. Grand Valley State was second with 13 points as the Lakers were second in cross country, sixth in indoor track & field and fifth in outdoor track & field.
