PUEBLO, Colo. (April 18, 2024) - Colorado State University Pueblo's
Febe Wessels (So., Pretoria, South Africa) and
Archie Wyatt (So., Edinburgh, Scotland) have been named Pack Student-Athletes of the Week, presented by Graham's Grill.
Wessels competed last week at the Bryan Clay Invitational. She continued her breakout sophomore campaign as the thrower finished second place in the women's shot put with a throw of 14.68 meters.
Wessels and Co., posted eight personal best records at the event in Azusa, California.
Up next, the track & field team will next compete at the Kit Meyer Classic, hosted by Colorado School of Mines in Golden.
On the men's side, Wyatt helped to lead the CSU Pueblo Men's Golf team to a team win at their home tournament, the Southern Colorado Masters, played over three rounds at the Pueblo Country Club.
Wyatt finished T-3rd overall and paced the ThunderWolves at the two-day event. He scored Even-par through three rounds and carded scores of 71-69-73-213 and finished with nine birdies to his credit.
In round two on Monday, Wyatt scored a team-best 69 and finished the round with three birdies on the back nine.
Up next for the men's golf team is the RMAC Championships set for April 21-23 at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Henderson, Nevada.
