Box Score LAKEWOOD, Colo. (January 4, 2019) - In their first game of 2019, Colorado State University-Pueblo Women's Basketball pulled away from Colorado Christian University to earn an 80-67 victory at the CCU Events Center Friday.

The Pack now owns a 5-1 record in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play. They are 7-5 overall. The Cougars fell to 5-7 (3-3 RMAC).

Khiya Adams (Jr., Falcon, Colo.) scored 20 points for the second consecutive game. Adams made 7-of-11 (63.6%) from the field. She also sank 6-of-6 at the free throw line. Adams finished with three assists.

Jennah Knafelc (Sr., Highlands Ranch, Colo.) scored 17 points. She made 5-of-9 from downtown. Knafelc was the only ThunderWolf to make a 3-pointer. Knafelc finished with three assists and three steals.

Naomi Torgerson (Jr., Anoka, Minn.) netted 12 points. She sank 6-of-7 at the line. Torgerson totaled a season-high four steals.

Kansas Watts (Fr., Houston, Texas) collected 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting from the field. Watts swatted her way to a career-high three blocks. She added six rebounds.

Sydni Williams (So., Little Rock, Ark.) also had three blocks.
JaNaiya Davis (Fr., Hewiitt, Texas) led the Pack with seven rebounds.

It was a game of runs throughout the contest. The Pack used an 11-0 run to take a 15-3 lead. The Cougars used a 13-0 run of their own to jump in front by one. The Pack picked up the final bucket of the first with a Watts jumper that made it 17-16 after one.

An 8-0 run put the Pack back in front 27-21. The Cougars used a 9-2 run of their own to reclaim the lead 30-29. This would be their last lead of the game. The Pack scored the next 12 points to a 41-30 lead into the half.

Colorado Christian cut the Pack's lead to four, but the Pack continued to hold them off as they maintained a 56-51 advantage after three.

The Cougars clawed back within one with 8:25 left. A 9-0 swing gave the Pack a 76-64 lead. They led by as many as 15 as they rolled to an 80-67 win.

The ThunderWolves will wrap up their road trip with a visit to Regis University Saturday at 5 p.m.
