RMAC opener sends Pack WBB to Las Vegas

PUEBLO, Colo. (November 30, 2018) – Colorado State University-Pueblo Women's Basketball will visit New Mexico Highlands University in the Pack's Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference opener Saturday at 5 p.m. in the John A. Wilson Complex.

The Starting 5 – The top five Pack storylines
1. The Pack wrapped up their non-conference slate 2-4 for the second consecutive season. Three of the Pack's four losses match their defeats from a season ago. After starting the year 2-4 last season, the Pack went 20-2 in RMAC play to win their second consecutive RMAC Regular Season Championship.

2. Jennah Knafelc (Sr., Highlands Ranch, Colo.) has averaged 17.3 points per game over her last three contests. Knafelc had eight steals in her two games last weekend against Eastern New Mexico University and No. 7 West Texas A&M University. She is tied for fifth in the RMAC with 2.3 steals per game. Knafelc averaged 4.0 steals per game against the Cowgirls last season.

3. The Pack leads the RMAC with 3.3 blocks per game. Khiya Adams (Jr., Falcon, Colo.) and Sydni Williams (So., Little Rock, Ark.) lead the pack with 0.8 blocks per game.

4. Adams ranks shares sixth place in the RMAC with 7.7 rebounds per game. The junior has 10 or more rebounds in three of her last four contests.

5.The ThunderWolves are 58-8 (.906) over their last three seasons of RMAC play. They are 81-21 overall over the last four seasons (.794).

Series History
- The Pack leads the all-time series with the Cowgirls 52-31. CSU-Pueblo has won the last seven meetings by an average of 20.6 points per victory. They won last year's meetings 78-53 and 73-47 respectively.

Scouting NMHU:
- The Cowgirls enter RMAC play with a 2-5 record. Like the Pack, they lost to Eastern New Mexico and No. 7 West Texas A&M. They have two losses to the Greyhounds this season, including an 89-54 defeat in their last outing.

- Jordyn Lewis leads the Cowgirls with 14.9 points per game. Lewis ranks 10th in the RMAC in scoring. Her .857 free throw percentage places her in a tie with Williams for fifth in the conference.

- New Mexico Highlands ranks 14th in the RMAC in scoring with 54.6 points per game. They have made just 37.0 percent from the field, the second-worst percentage in the conference.
