KEARNEY, Neb. - The ThunderWolves needed to have the game of their life to defeat the RMAC's elite team, Nebraska-Kearney, Thursday.  But the ThunderWolves displayed holes while Kearney played strong, falling to the Lopers in three sets.

The Lopers breezed through the ThunderWolves in the first two sets, winning 25-11 and 25-8.  Through two sets, Kearney committed just four attack errors, compared to 16 for the Pack.  But in the third set, CSU-Pueblo showed signs of life.

Trailing 20-7 and on their way to a third set loss, CSU-Pueblo dug down and battled.  The Pack converted 14 of the next 18 points, bringing the match to 24-21 before the Lopers held on and won.  During the ThunderWolves' comeback bid, seven different ThunderWolves recorded kills and showed a short-lived dominance over Kearney that few had shown this season. 

CSU-Pueblo falls to 5-11 with the loss and 2-5 in RMAC play.  The ThunderWolves will take a day off before heading to Chadron, Neb. to take on the Lady Eagles Saturday.
