LEXINGTON, Ky. – For the sixth consecutive season and ninth time in the program's history, Colorado State University Pueblo has been recognized by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) with a Team Academic Award for the 2025-26 school year, as announced by the organization on Thursday.

CSU Pueblo, which finished the 2025-26 academic year with a 3.632 overall GPA as a team, was one of 11 schools from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) that earned an AVCA Team Academic Award and one of 1,432 programs from all levels of collegiate and high school volleyball that were honored for maintaining a year-long grade point average of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale.

"It comes as no surprise to see our sport have more than 1,400 teams earn the AVCA Team Academic Award again this season," said AVCA CEO Jaime Gordon. "We are grateful for the dedication of the coaches and players who make both classroom and on-court success the lifeblood of their programs."

The Team Academic Award, which was initiated in 1992 by the AVCA, recognizes teams that have their dedication to the sport of volleyball with excellence in the classroom. Teams must maintain at least a 3.30 cumulative team GPA on a 4.0 scale for the school year or a 4.10 cumulative team GPA on a 5.0 scale.

CSU Pueblo was one of 11 RMAC schools and one of 182 NCAA Division II women's teams to earn an AVCA Team Academic Award. During the 2025-26 season, the Pack had seven players earn RMAC All-Academic honors and four players earn CSC Academic All-District accolades.

The other RMAC schools that earned a 2025-26 Team Academic Award were Black Hills State, Colorado Christian University, Colorado Mesa University, Fort Lewis, MSU Denver, New Mexico Highlands, Regis University, South Dakota School of Mines, Western Colorado and Westminster College. In addition, Black Hills State, Colorado Christian, Colorado Mesa, and Regis were four of the 34 Division II schools to earn Academic Award Honor Roll, which is the top 20 percent of team GPA's in the division.

CSU Pueblo, which is coached by former Pack player Jordan Bruere, closed the 2025 campaign with a 20–8 overall record, an 11–3 mark in RMAC play, and a perfect 10-0 record at home and advanced to the semifinals of the RMAC Tournament and faced West Texas A&M in the first round of the NCAA Division II South Central Regional Tournament.
