Four Pack Volleyball Members Named To CSC Academic All-District Teams

PUEBLO, Colo. - Colorado State University Pueblo Volleyball continued its tradition of excellence on and off the court, as four ThunderWolves were named to the 2025–26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Team, announced Tuesday.

Earning the honor for the Pack were Caelyn Gunn, Taylor Cary, Golden Finch, and Megan Mattingly, recognizing their combined achievements in the classroom and in competition during the 2025–26 season.

Gunn, a senior outside hitter and one of the most accomplished student-athletes in program history, once again demonstrated elite performance both academically and athletically while serving as a leader for the ThunderWolves. A Pre-Business major with a 3.60 GPA, Gunn was named an AVCA All-American earlier this month and earned Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Player of the Year honors, further underscoring her impact at both the conference and national levels.

Cary earned Academic All-District® recognition after balancing her academic success with key contributions to CSU Pueblo's depth throughout the season. An Exercise Science major with a 3.96 GPA, Cary was also named an Honorable Mention All-RMAC selection, recognizing her on-court impact within the conference.

Finch, a senior middle blocker, capped a standout collegiate career with Academic All-District® honors. An outstanding two-way player at the net, Finch is a Political Science major with a 3.63 GPA and was also recognized earlier this month as an AVCA All-American while earning All-RMAC Second Team honors, highlighting her excellence throughout the season.

Mattingly earned the Academic All-District® distinction following another strong year, exemplifying the ThunderWolves' commitment to academic achievement alongside competitive success. An Exercise Science major with a 3.92 GPA, Mattingly was also named an Honorable Mention All-RMAC selection for her contributions during the season.

All four ThunderWolves were also named to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference All-Academic Team earlier this month, further emphasizing CSU Pueblo Volleyball's commitment to academic excellence at both the conference and national levels.

The 2025–26 Academic All-District® Women's Volleyball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately honors women's volleyball student-athletes across four divisions: NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as finalists will advance to the national ballot, with first-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees set to be announced on January 13, 2026.

CSU Pueblo Volleyball continues to set the standard for holistic student-athlete success, with this year's honorees representing the program's commitment to excellence in the classroom, in competition, and within the community.
