COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – With the conclusion of the 2026 regular season on Saturday afternoon, the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference officially unveiled the 2026 RMAC Baseball Tournament bracket that is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, May 6 at regular season league champion Colorado Mesa's The Diamond at Hamilton Ballpark as announced by the league late Saturday evening.
CSU Pueblo, which finished the regular season with a 26-24 overall record and finished fourth in the league with an 18-14 record, earned the No. 4 seed and will open the tournament with a 3 p.m. game on Wednesday, May 6 against No. 3 seeded UCCS in the second of three first-round games in the double-elimination tournament.
The Pack, which has now won at 20 games in a season for the fourth consecutive season, enters the postseason winning 13 of its last 18 games to close the regular season, including splitting a four-game series this weekend at home against UCCS to close the regular season. Against the Mountain Lions this weekend, the Pack outscored UCCS, 32-23, including earning a 17-5 win in Saturday's senior day game at Rawlings Field.
Meanwhile, UCCS enters the tournament sporting a 32-17-1 overall record and was third in the league standings with a 21-10-1 record. The Mountain Lions come into the postseason having won seven of their 12 games, and along with splitting with the Pack this weekend, the Mountain Lions dropped three of four the previous weekend at home against MSU Denver.
CSU Pueblo and UCCS have met 41 times previously on the diamond as the Pack holds a 23-18 record in the series. The Pack has won seven of the last 10 games in the series, including splitting this season's four games in Pueblo. The Pack is 13-10 at home, 10-6 at UCCS, and 18-11 in RMAC games. The teams have met just two times in the RMAC Tournament, as UCCS collected an 8-6 win in 2022 and also earned a 10-8 win in 2021.
Regular-season champion and nationally No. 2-ranked Colorado Mesa, which went 45-4 overall and 31-1 in league play, is the No. 1 seed after claiming its 14th consecutive RMAC regular season title this season will open the tournament with a 7 p.m. game on Wednesday, May 6 against No. 6 seeded Regis, who went 19-30-1 overall and 10-21-1 in the league, after earning a 10-3 win in Saturday's series finale at home against Adams State. The Rangers closed the regular season winning five of its last eight games to hold off Colorado Christian, who finished just behind Regis in the league standings with a 10-22 league record and a 15-35 overall record.
The other first-round match-up on the opening day of the RMAC Tournament will feature No. 2 seeded MSU Denver, which is sporting a 36-14 overall record and was 24-8 in the league, and faces No. 5-seeded Colorado School of Mines, which went 18-31 overall and 14-18 in the league. These two teams will open the first day of the tournament with an 11 a.m. game. During the regular season, the Roadrunners, who received votes in the most recent ABCA Division II Coaches' Poll, won all four games this season against the Orediggers as they outscored Mines, 48-17 in a four-game series on March 20-22 in Golden, Colo.
This year's RMAC Tournament, which runs through Saturday, May 9, is a double-elimination format with the winner of the tournament earning the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division II South Central Regional Tournament, which is scheduled for May 15-17.
Last season, the Pack earned the No. 3 in the RMAC Tournament and went 0-2 in the tournament as they fell 15-10 in the opening round to No. 4 seeded MSU Denver and then fell 9-6 to top-seeded Colorado Mesa in a quarterfinal round game.
The Pack, who are making their fifth consecutive trip to the RMAC Tournament, have won five RMAC Tournament titles in program history, with the most recent title coming in 2013. In addition to winning five tournament titles, the Pack has also had five runner-up finishes since 2002. Since 2006, the Pack the Pack have posted a 24-34 record in the tournament and have been runners-up in 2006, 2012, 2014, and 2016, and won tournament titles in 2013, 2009, 2004, 1996, and 1994.
During the 2026 regular season, the Pack went 9-13 against the five other schools that qualified for the RMAC Tournament, as they were 3-1 against MSU Denver, 2-2 against UCCS, 3-3 against Regis, 1-3 against Mines and 0-4 against Colorado Mesa.
Since its tournament runner-up finish at the 2016 RMAC Tournament, the Pack has gone 6-16 in the tournament, as they have gone 1-2 in four of its last five tournament appearances, while going 0-2 in 2017, 2019 and 2025 and 2-2 in 2018.
