PUEBLO, Colo. — The Colorado State University Pueblo women's lacrosse team closes out the home portion of its 2026 schedule here Sunday as the ThunderWolves host Fort Lewis for a 2 p.m. Senior Day Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference contest on Sunday, April 12 at ALG Stadium.
Prior to the beginning of Sunday's game, the Pack will honor their four-member Senior Class in a pregame ceremony. This year's four seniors are defender
Audrey Allendorf (Stow, Ohio/Stow-Munroe Falls), attacker
Clara Drinkwater (North Kingstown, R.I./North Kingstown), midfielder
Sophia Rinn (Eagle, Colo./Eagle Valley), and midfielder
Reese Wasmund (Portland, Ore./West Linn). Drinkwater, Rinn and Wasmund are juniors, but are graduating in May and will not return for the 2027 season.
CSU Pueblo, which is led by fourth-year head coach
Taylor Ward, comes into this weekend's final home game of the 2026 season sporting a 4-9 overall record and 1-6 mark in RMAC following home losses last weekend against UCCS (23-6) and Westminster (15-9). The Pack has dropped six straight games since recording back-to-back wins at Fort Lewis (12-8) on March 14 and at home against Missouri Western (9-8) on March 16.
The Pack's four wins this season are the most in a season by the program since the 2021 team finished with a 4-9 record.
Coming into this weekend's action, the ThunderWolves are averaging 11.08 goals per game and have totaled 144 goals through 13 contests while generating 25.7 shots per game offensively. The 144 goals are third-most in the league and sixth-most in single-season school history.
The Pack has been led offensively by sophomore attacker
Emily Doane (Lake Forest, Ill./El Toro), who paces the ThunderWolves with a team-best 31 goals and 44 total points. Doane's 31 goals are tied for fifth-most in the league, while the 44 points are third-most in the league. Doane averages 2.38 goals and 3.38 points per game. The 31 goals are 12th most on the school's single-season charts.
Sophomore midfielder
Sydney Gunnels (Dallas, Texas/Coppell) has added 22 goals and 10 assists, while freshman midfielder
Ainsley Jackson (Anaheim, Calif./Canyon) has tallied 24 goals and a team-best 47 draws. The 47 draws are tied for 12th most on the school's single-season charts.
Four other Pack players have scored double-digit goals as Rinn has scored 16 goals, while redshirt freshman midfielder
Sienna Rinn (Eagle, Colo./Eagle Valley) has had 15 goals, freshman attacker
Hillary Grehan (Winnipeg, Manitoba/Murdoch Mackay Collegiate) has had 14 goals and Wasmund has 13 goals and seven assists.
The Pack continue to lead the lead in ground balls with 330 and are averaging 25.4 per game as freshman defender
Maelynn Saucedo (Eastvale, Calif./Eleanor Roosevelt) leads with 31, while Wasmund is second with 29 and Jackson has had 27 ground balls. The 330 ground balls are fourth-most on the school's single-season chart.
In addition, the Pack also leads the RMAC in draw controls with 176 and is averaging 13.5 per game as along with Jackson's 47 draws,
Sienna Rinn has had 42 draws and Gunnels has collected 27 draws.
Defensively, the Pack is allowing 13.8 goals per game and continues to lead the league in caused turnovers with 147 as they are averaging 11.3 per game. The 147 caused turnovers are fourth-most on the school's single-season charts. Junior defender
Dylan Retzloff (Bend, Ore./Mountain View) leads the way with 27, while Saucedo has had 22 on the year. Retzloff's 27 caused turnovers are seventh-most on the school's single-season charts.
Junior
Breonna Mason (Colorado Springs, Colo./Air Academy) has played in nine games in goal this season and has recorded 73 saves, 24 ground balls and seven caused turnovers, while tallying a 36.1 save percentage and a 14.69 goals against average. Mason has recorded 421 career saves, which is second on the school's career charts, while her 44.4 career save percentage is also second on the team's career charts.
ABOUT FORT LEWIS
Fort Lewis comes into Sunday's second match-up this season with the Pack still seeking its first win of the season as the Skyhawks are sporting an 0-9 overall record and are 0-7 in the RMAC. The Skyhawks have lost 19 straight games dating to last season's 12-11 win at William Jewell on March 12, 2025.
The Skyhawks have scored 45 goals in nine games and are averaging 5.0 goals per game, while allowing 16.67 goals per contest.
Fifth-year senior midfielder Diamond Velasco leads the Skyhawks offensively with 16 goals, while junior attacker Piper Price has had five goals and a team-best nine assists for 14 points and sophomore midfielder Jasmine Nguyen has contributed six goals and 15 draws.
Despite the record, Fort Lewis has remained competitive at times this season, including the eight-goal performance against CSU Pueblo in the first meeting and a seven-goal outing against UCCS in its most recent contest. The Skyhawks have collected 193 ground balls and 90 caused turnovers, showing defensive activity throughout the season.
Senior defender Samantha Rodgers leads Fort Lewis in ground balls with 34 and caused turnovers with 41, while senior midfielder Sydney Tannaci has had 29 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers.
Junior Olivia Tilbury has played all nine games and nearly 540 minutes in goal this season and has had 94 saves, which is third-best in the RMAC and leads the league in save percentage (10.44) and has a 16.67 goals against average.
Fort Lewis is coached by JoJo Lutz is in her first season as the Skyhawks' head coach after spending the previous two seasons as the school's assistant coach. Lutz played for Fort Lewis from 2020-24 and amassed 94 ground balls and 52 caused turnovers in her playing career with the Skyhawks.
Sunday's game will mark the second meeting this season as Fort Lewis leads the all-time series, 15-4, but the Pack has won three straight games in the series, including posting a 12-8 win earlier this season in Durango. In that game earlier this season, the Pack opened the game scoring five first period goals and led 5-1 after 15 minutes of play and scored three straight goals in the fourth period to take a 12-6 lead. Sophia Rinn led the Pack with four points on three goals and an assist, while Doane and
Sienna Rinn each had three points.
Following Sunday's game, the Pack will close out the 2026 regular season with games next weekend (April 17 and April 19) at Westminster and Colorado Mesa respectively.
