INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Colorado State University Pueblo men's and women's golf are both headed back to the postseason, as the ThunderWolves earned selections to the 2026 NCAA Division II Regional Championships, the NCAA announced this week.
The CSU Pueblo men's golf team, ranked No. 15 in the nation, secured an at-large bid and will enter the postseason as the No. 2 seed out of the South Central Region. The ThunderWolves will compete in the South Central/West Super Regional, set for May in Stockton, California, at The Reserve at Spanos Park.
CSU Pueblo enters the postseason following one of the most consistent seasons in program history, compiling an impressive 99-31-1 head-to-head record. The ThunderWolves have been a fixture near the top of leaderboards all year and will look to carry that momentum into familiar territory.
The South Central/West Super Regional field will feature some of the top teams in the nation. West Texas A&M earned the No. 1 seed out of the South Central Region, while Western Washington claimed the top seed out of the West Region, setting up a highly competitive super regional field.
Earlier this spring, the Pack captured a key victory at the NCAA Regional Preview, held February 23–24 in Northern California. That win came on a course and in a region that mirrors the upcoming postseason setting, giving CSU Pueblo valuable experience and confidence heading into regional play.
Under the leadership of head coach Josh Koschke, the ThunderWolves continue to build on a sustained run of excellence. Koschke last guided the Pack to the NCAA Division II National Championships in 2022 after CSU Pueblo captured the South Central Regional title. With this year's selection, he has now led the program to nine consecutive postseason appearances, further cementing CSU Pueblo as one of the premier programs in Division II golf.
CSU Pueblo will aim to secure another berth in the national championships with a strong showing against a loaded regional field.
On the women's side, CSU Pueblo continued its dominant run in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, earning a bid to the NCAA West Regional after capturing its fourth consecutive RMAC title and first under interim head coach John Wristen.
The ThunderWolves were selected as the No. 5 seed out of the West Region and will host the NCAA West Regional at Pueblo Country Club. The regional field will feature 18 teams competing for a chance to advance to the national championship.
The West Regional will also include the nation's top-ranked teams, highlighted by defending national champion Dallas Baptist University, which enters as the No. 1 seed in the region.
CSU Pueblo is no stranger to the course, having hosted a regional preview event at Pueblo Country Club earlier this season. The ThunderWolves delivered a strong performance in that event, finishing third out of 21 teams — a result that would be good enough to qualify for the NCAA Championships under regional advancement standards.
The women's squad, which has collected six tournament victories during the 2025–26 campaign, has consistently proven itself as one of the top teams in the region. With a veteran lineup and the advantage of competing on their home course, the ThunderWolves will look to capitalize on their familiarity and momentum.
The regional selection also marks the fourth consecutive postseason appearance for the CSU Pueblo women's golf program, continuing a stretch of sustained success that mirrors the dominance the ThunderWolves have shown within the RMAC.
A top finish at the regional would send CSU Pueblo to the NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championships, set for later in May in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, as the Pack aims to extend its historic season.
With both programs advancing to NCAA Regional play, CSU Pueblo once again reinforces its position as a national contender on both the men's and women's sides, as the ThunderWolves prepare to make noise on the postseason stage.
