BOULDER CITY, Nev. - Colorado State University Pueblo men's golf faced a challenging opening round at the 2026 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships, finishing day one in sixth place at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada.
Despite carding a 3-under team score, the ThunderWolves find themselves sixth out of seven teams on a course yielding low numbers across the board. CSU Pueblo entered the week as the top-ranked team in the RMAC, sitting No. 13 nationally and No. 1 in the South Central Region, but Boulder Creek—site of the 2026 NCAA Division II National Championships—played favorably in round one.
Colorado Mesa set the pace, with the No. 22 Mavericks posting a blistering 19-under to take the early lead.
The ThunderWolves were led by Marius Dosiere, who paced the lineup with a strong opening round to sit in third place individually. The Frenchman delivered a composed performance, highlighted by a 3-under 33 on his back nine to keep himself firmly in contention.
Kyle Leydon added an even-par 72 for the Pack, while Agustin Pizzorno and Callum Kenneally each posted rounds of 1-over 73. Paraic McGrath followed with a 2-over 74.
With the new championship format allowing six players to compete with the top four scores counting, Archie Wyatt's 3-over 75 was used as the ThunderWolves' drop score in round one.
While CSU Pueblo sits outside the top half of the leaderboard, the margin remains manageable heading into the second round, especially on a course where low scores are available.
The ThunderWolves will look to climb the standings on Monday, teeing off at 11:42 a.m. from the first tee just outside Las Vegas.
