PUEBLO, Colo. — Colorado State University Pueblo Baseball enters the final stretch of its Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference schedule this weekend as the ThunderWolves travel to Alamosa, Colo., for a four-game series at Adams State University.
The two teams will open the four-game weekend series on Friday, April 24 with a 2 p.m. game, before playing a doubleheader on Saturday, April 25 at noon and concluding the series with a single nine-inning game on Sunday, April 26 at noon. This weekend marks the final road games in the regular season for the Pack.
CSU Pueblo enters the weekend having won eight of its last 10 games as they have moved their overall record to 21-21 overall and is 13-11 in the RMAC after taking three of four games last weekend at then 26th-ranked MSU Denver. The series win at MSU Denver came on the heels of a four-game home sweep over New Mexico Highlands. In the series against the Roadrunners, the Pack outscored MSU Denver, 40-25, including scoring 14 and 12 runs respectively in last Sunday's doubleheader sweep.
The Pack, though, had a two-game win streak snapped on Tuesday night as they fell 11-3 at Division I University of New Mexico in their final non-conference game of the 2026 season. The Pack completed non-conference play with an 8-10 record.
Entering play this weekend, the Pack needs just one win to secure a spot in the RMAC Tournament as they are currently in fourth place in the league standings and are eight wins in front Regis, Adams State, Colorado Christian and New Mexico Highlands, who are tied for sixth place with two weeks left in the regular season. Once the Pack gets to 14 league wins, none of those four teams can catch the ThunderWolves in the standings, because the best they could get should those teams win out is 13 wins.
Since opening the season by winning seven of its first 12 games, the Pack has posted a 14-16 record and is 9-13 away from home this season, including being 6-6 on the road in RMAC play. The Pack has now won two straight RMAC series and three overall series in league play this season.
Historically, CSU Pueblo holds a 61-19 all-time advantage on the diamond over Adams State, including sweeping all four games last season in Pueblo. The Pack has won six straight games and eight of the last 10 games overall in the series. The Pack leads 40-9 in Pueblo and holds a 21-10 advantage in Alamosa and is 50-17 against ASU in RMAC games.
Following this weekend's road series with Adams State, the Pack will return home to close out the regular season next weekend (April 30-May 2) with a four-game league slate at Rawlings Field against UCCS.
