Pack Swimming Earns RMAC Academic Honors, Highlighted By Dannhaus And Dutkowiak

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Academic excellence continues to define the culture of Colorado State University Pueblo women's swimming, as the ThunderWolves earned recognition on the 2025-26 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Academic All-Conference teams, highlighted by multiple First Team selections and a strong presence on the RMAC Honor Roll.

Leading the way for the Pack were junior Olivia Dannhaus and senior Aleksandra Dutkowiak, who both garnered First Team Academic All-RMAC honors. The duo was recognized among the conference's top student-athletes for their excellence in the classroom, maintaining grade-point averages above 3.50 while meeting all RMAC academic and competition criteria. Dannhaus, an accounting major, posted an impressive 3.93 GPA, while Dutkowiak, an economics major, recorded a 3.96 GPA.

Dannhaus also made a significant impact in the pool this season, finishing second on the ThunderWolves with 652.25 points, while ranking 43rd overall in the RMAC. Primarily known as a breaststroke specialist, Dannhaus showcased her versatility throughout the season, contributing across multiple events and proving to be one of the Pack's most reliable and well-rounded performers.

Dutkowiak was equally impactful in the water for the ThunderWolves, totaling 545.90 points on the season. The senior was a key piece of CSU Pueblo's success in relay events, frequently serving as an anchor and providing consistency in high-pressure situations. She also delivered a standout performance at the RMAC Championships, swimming a personal-best time in the grueling 1650 freestyle, highlighting both her endurance and continued development at the conference's biggest stage.

In addition to the First Team selections, CSU Pueblo placed eight student-athletes on the RMAC Academic Honor Roll, showcasing the depth of the program's commitment to success beyond the pool. Honorees included Dannhaus, Laci Denn, Dutkowiak, Aline Gutierrez, Regan Rodriguez, Carla Sanchez Guareno, McKenna Schilling, and Margaret Laborde Lagrave.

The RMAC Academic Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes who maintain at least a 3.30 cumulative GPA while meeting participation and enrollment requirements, while First Team honorees represent the top academic performers in the conference as voted on by sports information directors.

CSU Pueblo's recognition across both teams reflects a program that continues to excel in all areas, combining strong performances in the pool with outstanding achievement in the classroom. The ThunderWolves' presence on the RMAC academic lists underscores the discipline, dedication, and well-rounded success of the program as it continues to build momentum within the conference.
