GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Colorado State University Pueblo women's swimming closed out the final day of the 2026 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday at the CMU El Pomar Natatorium, finishing sixth overall with 538 points after five days of competition against the league's top programs.
The final day was highlighted by the women's 1650-yard freestyle, where the ThunderWolves showcased depth and endurance in the championship distance event. Freshman Andrea Reyes led CSU Pueblo with a strong 10th-place finish, posting a time of 17:41.49 to score 17 points for the Pack. Reyes maintained consistent pacing throughout the mile and delivered a strong closing stretch to secure a top-10 conference finish in her RMAC Championships debut.
Senior Aleksandra Dutkowiak followed with a 20th-place performance, touching the wall in 18:44.87 and adding five points to the team total. Fellow freshman Sarah Fransson rounded out the ThunderWolves' scoring efforts in the event, finishing 19th in 18:42.34 to contribute six points. The trio's combined effort in the 1650 freestyle capped off a demanding meet and provided a strong finish for CSU Pueblo on the final night.
Throughout the championship, the ThunderWolves consistently produced key performances across individual and relay events, building momentum day by day. Earlier in the week, CSU Pueblo posted multiple school records and season-best swims, setting the tone for a balanced and competitive showing across the lineup. The Pack's depth proved valuable as points were earned in sprints, distance races, and relays, allowing CSU Pueblo to remain firmly in the top half of the team standings.
By the conclusion of the meet, CSU Pueblo accumulated 538 total points, finishing sixth overall in a field that included nationally ranked programs and perennial RMAC contenders. The ThunderWolves remained competitive throughout the championship, closing the meet with a strong final-day showing in the distance events.
