GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Colorado State University Pueblo completed day four of the 2026 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Championships on Friday night at the El Pomar Natatorium, turning in a strong finals session highlighted by multiple A-final performances and a key relay effort as the Pack remained sixth overall heading into Championship Saturday.
Through 31 events, CSU Pueblo sits sixth in the women's team standings with 385 points as the meet moves into its final day.
Friday's top individual performances for the ThunderWolves came in the women's 100-yard backstroke. Aria Chase delivered one of CSU Pueblo's strongest swims of the meet, finishing fourth overall in the A final to score 26 points. Chase was joined in the championship heat by Carla Sanchez Guareno, who placed eighth overall and added 22 points, giving the Pack a combined 48 points in the event.
CSU Pueblo also picked up significant points in relay competition during the women's 200-yard freestyle relay. The quartet of Angela Pantke, Aria Chase, Margaret Laborde Lagrave, and McKenna Schilling combined for a fifth-place finish, earning 48 points under conference relay scoring rules and providing one of the ThunderWolves' biggest point totals of the evening.
Earlier in the session, freshman Andy Reyes represented CSU Pueblo in the women's 500-yard freestyle B final. Reyes finished 10th overall with a time of 5:06.34, scoring 17 points and continuing an impressive first conference championship showing.
Altogether, the ThunderWolves collected 139 points from Friday finals alone, helping maintain position in the team standings while carrying momentum into the final day of competition.
With Championship Saturday still to come, CSU Pueblo will look to close out the conference championships with a strong finish as final events and relays determine the final team standings.
