PUEBLO, Colo. - The 13th-ranked Colorado State University Pueblo men's golf team delivered another strong performance on its home turf, finishing runner-up at the Pueblo Country Club this week in a tournament loaded with top Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference foes and elite programs from the South Central/West Super Region.
In a tightly contested field, the ThunderWolves turned in a three-under performance as a team, showcasing their consistency across all three rounds. Colorado Christian ultimately claimed the team title at 11-under, while No. 17 West Texas A&M finished just one stroke behind CSU Pueblo at two-under, highlighting the depth and competitiveness of the field.
Leading the way for the Pack once again was senior standout Marius Dosiere. The Frenchman - and No. 27 ranked individual in the nation - put together a sensational week, finishing at nine-under par to place second overall. Dosiere's tournament was highlighted by a blistering eight-under 63 in round two, one of the lowest rounds of the event, as he finished just one shot shy of medalist honors behind Colorado Christian's Peyton Jones.
Archie Wyatt continued his strong spring campaign as the ThunderWolves' second scorer, finishing tied for sixth at three-under par. The Scottish captain opened with a three-under 68, followed by a one-under 71, before closing with a one-over 72 to secure another top-10 finish.
Kyle Leydon delivered one of the most memorable moments of the tournament, finishing tied for 19th while posting rounds of 74, 72, and 70. His final round was punctuated by a hole-in-one on the par-3 sixth hole, as the lefty holed a 52-degree wedge from 125 yards—marking the fourth ace of his career.
Paraic McGrath contributed as the ThunderWolves' fourth scorer, finishing tied for 38th after rounds of 71, 73, and 77. Jake Johnston rounded out the team scoring, carding rounds of 74, 74, and 76 over the three-day event.
Outside the scoring five, Callum Kenneally turned in one of the most impressive individual performances of the week. Competing as an individual, Kenneally finished tied for third overall, highlighted by a five-under 66 in the final round after opening with back-to-back even-par rounds.
Under the direction of head coach Josh Koschke, the ThunderWolves—currently ranked No. 13 nationally—continue to build momentum heading into the postseason stretch.
CSU Pueblo will close out the regular season next week in the Phoenix area, competing at Palm Valley Golf Course in Goodyear, Arizona on Monday and Tuesday. The ThunderWolves will then set their sights on the RMAC Championships, scheduled for April 19–21 at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada, as they look to carry their strong play into championship season.
