BOULDER CITY, Nev. - Archie Wyatt continued his strong showing at the 2026 NCAA Division II National Championships on Tuesday afternoon as the Colorado State University Pueblo senior carded an even-par 72 during round two at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada.
Competing as the ThunderWolves' lone representative at the national championship, Wyatt remains firmly in contention entering the third round as the Scotsman sits tied for eighth place individually after 36 holes of play.
After firing a stellar 5-under 67 in Monday's opening round, Wyatt battled through a much more challenging scoring day on Tuesday to stay inside the top 10 on the national leaderboard.
Wyatt recorded two birdies and two bogeys during his second round on the Desert Hawk/Coyote Run layout.
The ThunderWolf senior made the turn after a bogey on the par-4 seventh hole before settling in nicely on the back nine. Wyatt capitalized on two of the course's scoring opportunities by birdieing both the par-5 13th hole and the par-5 16th hole to move back under par during the round.
However, Wyatt suffered a late setback after bogeying the finishing 18th hole, bringing him back to even par for the day and giving him a second-round score of 72.
Despite the closing bogey, Wyatt remains well within striking distance heading into Wednesday's third round as he looks to finish his collegiate career strong on the national stage.
Columbus State's Ian Pienaar currently holds the individual lead at 10-under par through two rounds of competition.
Round three of the NCAA Division II National Championships is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon, with Wyatt set to tee off at 1:05 p.m. Mountain Time from Boulder Creek Golf Club.
