PUEBLO, Colo. - Colorado State University Pueblo men's golf has been included in the first NCAA Division II South Central Regional Rankings of the 2026 season, as announced by the NCAA earlier this week.
The NCAA's regional rankings are used to help determine the teams selected for the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships, with the initial rankings listed in alphabetical order and not reflecting a specific ranking position.
Colorado State Pueblo's inclusion comes during a strong 2025–26 campaign for the ThunderWolves, who have consistently competed against some of the nation's top programs throughout the season.
According to the latest Scoreboard by CLIPPd national rankings, the South Central Region remains one of the most competitive regions in Division II men's golf. Several programs in the region currently sit inside the national top 25, including No. 8 St. Mary's (Texas), No. 12 Colorado Mesa, No. 15 Dallas Baptist, No. 19 West Texas A&M, No. 24 UT Permian Basin, and No. 25 Midwestern State.
Colorado State Pueblo currently sits No. 13 nationally in the Scoreboard by CLIPPd rankings, posting a 65-28-0 head-to-head record this season with a 45.65 performance rating. The ThunderWolves rank among the top programs in the region alongside fellow Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference programs Colorado Mesa, Colorado Christian, and Colorado School of Mines, highlighting the depth of competition within both the conference and the South Central region.
Under the leadership of head coach Josh Koschke, the ThunderWolves have put together a strong season on the course and remain well positioned as the spring championship portion of the schedule approaches.
The Pack will return to action March 30–31, when Colorado State Pueblo hosts its annual Sam Proal Invitational at Pueblo Country Club. The two-day event will bring several regional programs to Pueblo and provides the ThunderWolves with another opportunity to strengthen their résumé as postseason play approaches.
Colorado State Pueblo will then turn its attention to the RMAC Championships, with the final NCAA regional rankings later this spring determining the teams selected to compete in the NCAA Division II postseason.
