GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - The Colorado State University Pueblo ThunderWolves enter the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships with momentum, balance, and multiple proven point-scorers ready to lead the way.
CSU Pueblo heads into the conference meet ranked 48th nationally in NCAA Division II and sixth in the RMAC based on the latest women's SCY dual rankings, posting a conference score of 593.90 points. The ThunderWolves sit in the middle of a highly competitive league standings that sees Colorado Mesa and Colorado School of Mines at the top, followed closely by Simon Fraser, Oklahoma Christian, and Western Colorado. With several teams tightly grouped, CSU Pueblo finds itself within reach of climbing the standings over the course of the multi-day championship meet.
The Pack's ability to score in pressure situations has been evident all season. In a December dual against Colorado College Tigers in Pueblo, CSU Pueblo recorded five individual event wins, highlighted by strong performances from the top of the lineup. That momentum carried into a championship-style environment at the Colorado College Classic (Jan. 16–18), where the ThunderWolves finished second overall with 879 points at Schlessman Natatorium, separating themselves from the field.
