STOCKTON, Calif. - Colorado State University Pueblo men's golf opened its 2026 Championship Spring season in strong fashion, as the Pack surged to the top of the leaderboard after round one at the Visit Stockton Division II Invitational. Competing at The Reserve at Spanos Park, a 7,315-yard, par-72 layout in Stockton, California, the No. 11–ranked Pack posted an opening round score of two-over par (290) to lead the 21-team field.
The ThunderWolves showcased their depth and consistency across the lineup on a challenging championship-style course. CSU Pueblo was paced by Paraic McGrath, who delivered a steady two-under par round of 70 to sit tied for third overall. Kyle Leydon followed closely behind, firing an even-par 72 and finishing the opening round tied for 15th.
Marius Dosiere and Jake Johnston each turned in matching rounds of 74, tying for 30th and helping solidify the Pack's position atop the team standings. Archie Wyatt rounded out the scoring five with a 76, finishing tied for 58th as the ThunderWolves maintained separation from the rest of the field.
The strong opening round continues the momentum for the Pack as they begin championship season under head coach Josh Koschke. Entering the spring ranked No. 11 nationally—the highest-ranked team across CSU Pueblo Athletics—the ThunderWolves backed up that ranking with a composed and disciplined performance on day one.
CSU Pueblo will look to build on its opening-round lead as play continues at the Visit Stockton Division II Invitational, with consistency and championship positioning at the forefront heading into the final rounds.
