COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado State University Pueblo swept the first edition of the 2026 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week Awards as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
The league named sophomore attacker
Emily Doane (Lake Forest, Calif./El Toro) as the Offensive Player of the Week and freshman goalie
Hannah Duffee (Bayport, Minn./St. Croix Preparatory Academy) as the Defensive Player of the Week. Both Player of the Week honors are the first of their careers and the Pack's first RMAC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week since former goalie
Breonna Mason was honored twice during the 2025 season.Â
Doane earns this week's Offensive Player of the Week honor after opening the 2026 season win dominant fashion as she helped the Pack to 2-0 start thanks to a pair of dynamic offensive performances.Â
In the Pack's 18-11 season opening win at Coker, Doane erupted for a career-high five goals, converting five of her six shots on goal with four of those goals coming unassisted. In addition to the five goals, she also added three assists to finish with a career-high eight points on the day.Â
Two days later on Saturday against Southern Wesleyan, Doane did not score a goal in the Pack's 15-2 win, but she did put all six of her shots on goal and added two assists, along with four ground balls and one draw control.Â
Meanwhile, the league named Duffee as the Defensive Player of the Week as the freshman made an immediate impact in the first two games of her collegiate career. For the week, she played all 120 minutes in goal for the Pack and recorded 12 saves, allowed 13 goals and collected seven ground balls to the Pack to back-to-back wins on its season-opening trip to South Carolina.Â
Dufffee began her career with a 60-minute effort in goal in the Pack's 18-11 win at Coker. In that game, she turned away four shots and allowed 11 goals and then followed up the effort by playing another 60 minutes in goal in the Pack's 15-2 win over Southern Wesleyan. Against Southern Wesleyan, she surrendered two goals, made eight saves and tallied seven ground balls.Â
The Pack, who suffered its first loss of the season on Monday as they concluded their South Carolina trip with a 15-14 loss at Converse, will now take 15 days off before opening the home portion of its 2026 schedule with a 4 p.m. non-conference game on Monday, March 9 against Rockhurst University at the ALG Soccer/Lacrosse Stadium.
