GREENSBORO, N.C. – Colorado State University Pueblo baseball was one of 27 schools that received votes in the 2026 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) NCAA Division II Baseball Preseason Coaches' Poll that was released by the organization on Tuesday.
The Pack, who went 32-20 overall last season and was tabbed to finish in a tie for second place in this season's Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Coaches' Poll, is one of three RMAC schools either ranked or receiving votes in the Preseason ABCA Division II Coaches' Poll.
In the Preseason ABCA Division II Coaches' Poll, Colorado Mesa opens the 2026 season ranked No. 7 as they earned 240 points in the poll. In addition to Colorado Mesa, CSU Pueblo and MSU Denver each earned votes in the poll.
Along with Colorado Mesa and MSU Denver, two of the Pack's non-conference opponents are also mentioned in the Preseason ABCA Poll as Northwest Nazarene, who the Pack plays in a four-game series in Nampa, Id., on March 5-7, is ranked No. 8 after going 46-16 a season ago and advancing to the Division II World Series, while MSU Billings, who the Pack hosts in a three game series at Rawlings Field to open the 2026 campaign on Feb. 4-6, received votes in the poll.
Defending NCAA Division II National Champion Tampa opens the season at No. 1 in the ABCA Division II Preseason poll as the Spartans earned 300 points. Central Missouri, who is the defending Division II National Runners-up, is ranked No. 2 as they earned 290 points, while Lenoir-Rhyne is ranked No. 3 as they earned 280 points. Texas-Tyler and Catawba round out the Top 5 of the Preseason poll.
The reminder of the Top 10 features Florida Southern at No. 6, and Angelo State follows Colorado Mesa and Northwest Nazarene at No. 9 and North Greenville rounds out the Top 10 at No. 10.

Bobby Applegate, opens its 2026 campaign with a three-game series at Rawlings Field on Feb. 4-6 against MSU Billings. The teams will play one game each day with the games on Feb. 4 and Feb. 5 starting at 1 p.m. and the series finale on Feb. 6 scheduled for 12 p.m. first pitch. The first RMAC series of the 2026 season for the Pack is scheduled March 13-15 at Rawlings Field in Pueblo against seventh-ranked Colorado Mesa.
