Pack Conclude Regular Season With Strong Runner-Up Performance At Colorado College; Turn Attention To RMAC Championships

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado State University Pueblo Swimming wrapped up a strong three-day showing at the Colorado College Classic on Sunday at Schlessman Natatorium, as the Pack finished runner-up in the team standings with 879 points, trailing only host Colorado College, while defeating the University of Colorado and Adams State.

CSU Pueblo consistently placed swimmers across finals throughout the weekend, tallying nine gold, 10 silver, and eight bronze finishes in a deep, competitive field that also featured the University of Colorado and Adams State.

The Pack closed the meet with momentum on Sunday, highlighted by multiple podium finishes in individual events and relays. In the 100-yard backstroke, CSU Pueblo dominated the A final, sweeping the top four spots behind Angela Pantke, Carla Sanchez Guareno, Aria Chase, and Margaret Laborde Lagrave, setting the tone for the final session.

Freshman standout Andrea Reyes delivered another big performance, capturing first place in the 200-yard butterfly, while Aleksandra Dutkowiak followed closely behind in second to give the ThunderWolves a 1–2 finish in the event. Reyes also contributed key relay legs during the weekend and continued to shine throughout the meet.

In breaststroke action, Olivia Dannhaus claimed gold in the 100-yard breaststroke, while additional points came from Laci Denn and Regan Rodriguez as CSU Pueblo stacked valuable scoring swims in both A and B finals.

The Pack capped the meet with a strong relay showing in the 400-yard freestyle relay, placing second and third with their A and B squads to close out the weekend on the podium and secure their second-place team finish overall.

With the Colorado College Classic complete, CSU Pueblo now gets some time off to regroup and prepare for the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships, set for Feb. 10-14 at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colorado
