GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - The Colorado State University Pueblo Swimming team picked up 92 more points on day two of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships on the campus of Colorado Mesa University.
The ThunderWolves on Day Two were able to pick up some big points in the Women's 200 IM and the Womens' 200 Medley Relay.Â
Paola C Wu was able to advance to the finals in the 200 IM. In the finals she finished in seventh place to pick up 23 points for the Pack in the A Final, swimming a time of 2:09.41.Â
Carla Sanchez Guareno was able to advance to the B Final in the 200 IM. Sanchez Guareno finished in third place in the heat to pick up 16 points, swimming a time of 2:11.24.
Olivia Dannhaus and
Laci Denn both qualified for the finals as well, both competing in the C Final. Dannhaus finished in second place in the heat, swimming a time of 2:11.05, while Denn finished right behind her with a time of 2:11.31.
The Pack were also able to pick up some valuable points in the finale on Tuesday evening in the 200 Medley Relay, qualfying two squads for the finals.Â
In the A Final, the squad of Sanchez Guareno, Dannhaus, C Wu, and
Margaret Laborde Lagrave finished in fifth place with a time of 1:46.47. The B Final squad of
Aline Gutierrez,
Regan Rodriguez,
Andrea Gallardo Perez, and
Nalani Wess were able to pick kup eight points for the Pack in the event, swimming a time of 1:56.34.
Session 7 begins tomorrow at the El Pomar Natatorium at 10:00 AM to kick off Day Three of the Championships.
