GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - The Colorado State University Pueblo Swimming team kicked off the 2025 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Swimming Championships on the campus of Colorado Mesa University at the El Pomar Natatorium.
The ThunderWolves, who one season ago shattered many school records at the RMAC Championships, kicked off the 2025 Championships with a bang, scoring 32 big points in the lone event on Tuesday evening; the 800 Freestyle Relay.
CSU Pueblo finished fifth in the event, which is awarded 32 points toward their team total for the week. The Pack finished fifth out of 15 teams in the event to put themselves in good position for the week.
Laci Denn was the first leg of the relay, setting the tone with a time of 1:56.10.
Olivia Dannhaus was the second leg and swam a time of 1:58.08.
Margaret Laborde Lagrave was the third leg and kept the Pack in good position with a time of 2:02.51.
Carla Sanchez Guareno was the anchor for the ThunderWolves and brought the Pack home with a time of 1:56.49.
The Pack finished with a solid time of 7:53.18 in the 800 freestyle relay.

Susanne Divelbiss said after the lone event on Tuesday evening, "It was a good start! We moved up from 6th place to 5th place in the 800 relay. Excited for the week, we have a lot of good swimming still to come."
CSU Pueblo is back in the pool tomorrow with Day Two of the Championships starting at 10:00 AM in Grand Junction.
