INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Colorado State University Pueblo football team is one of 10 schools that made an appearance in the first iteration of the NCAA Division II Super Region Four rankings that were released by the NCAA on Monday afternoon.

In the first edition of the super region rankings, the NCAA lists the teams under consideration in alphabetical order.

The ThunderWolves, who are ranked seventh in this week's AFCA Division II Coaches and eighth in the latest D2Football.com Top 25 polls, are sporting a 7-1 overall record and a 6-0 record in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference heading into Saturday's nationally ranked showdown at No. 5 Western Colorado, who is 8-0 overall and 6-0 in the RMAC.

The Pack and Western Colorado are two of the three teams listed in the first Super Region 4 rankings from the RMAC as they are joined by Chadron State (6-2 overall, 6-0 RMAC). In addition to the three RMAC schools listed, three schools from the Lone Star Conference (Central Washington, UT-Permian Basin and Western Oregon), two schools from the Great American Conference (Harding and Southern Arkansas) and two schools from the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (Northwest Missouri State and Pittsburg State) are included in the first rankings of the 2025 season.

At the conclusion of the regular season, the four conference champions from each of the four conferences in the Super Region and the four highest ranked teams (non-conference champions) in the final Super Region 4 rankings will earn a spot in the NCAA Division II Playoffs. The NCAA will announce the 2025 Division II Playoff selections on www.NCAA.com on Sunday, Nov. 16.

The NCAA Division II Playoffs will consist of 32 teams (16 automatic conference champion qualifiers and 16 at-large teams - four per region) across four regions with the top four teams in the region being seeded. The first round of the playoffs is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 22. The national semifinals are scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 13 with the championship game scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 20 in McKinney, Texas. The semifinals and finals will be broadcast on one of the ESPN broadcast networks.

The Pack, who were idle last weekend, returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 1 as they travel to Gunnison, Colo., for a 1 p.m. game at Western Colorado. The Pack enters the game having won 22 straight conference games, which is the longest active conference win streak in Division II football.
