SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Colorado State University Pueblo Swimming team concluded their 2024 Fall Season with a strong Runner-Up performance at the Trinity Invitational in San Antonio, Texas.
The ThunderWolves finished second in the 11-Team field, defeating Division One, Two, and Three schools at the meet.
CSU Pueblo finished with 621 points, only finishing behind the host Trinity University (Texas), who finished the meet with 1304.5 points.Â
The Pack were led by
Carla Sanchez Guareno (Tarragona, Spain), as the Spainard had an incredible weekend for the Pack, breaking numerous personal and school records over the three-day meet.
On Friday, the Pack broke eight personal records.Â
In the 500-Freestyle,
Laci Denn (Egg Harbor Township, N.J./Mainland Regional),
McKenna Schilling (Bonney Lake, Wash./Bonney Lake),
Aleksandra Dutkowiak (Wroclaw, Poland/SMS Wroclaw), and
Marissa Mangino (Mesa, Ariz./Red Mountain) all broke personal records in the pool.
In the 200-IM, Sanchez-Guareno,
Olivia Dannhaus (Sheridan, Wyo./Sheridan), and
Regan Rodriguez (Bakersfield, Calif./Techachapi) broke personal records, while
Aline Gutierrez (San Pedro Sula, Honduras) broke a personal record in the 50-freestyle.
Sanchez-Guareno also broke a team record on Sunday in the 200-Backstroke, as the Spainard swam a time of 2:06.60.Â
