KEARNEY, Neb. - The Colorado State University Pueblo Swimming Team concluded the Nebraska Kearney Invite in third place after strong performances from
Paola C Wu (San Pedro Sula, Honduras/Indianapolis),
Olivia Dannhaus (Sheridan, Wyo./Sheridan), and
Carla Sanchez Guareno (Tarragona, Spain).
Western Colorado University won the event with 829 points, while Nebraska Kearney finished runner-up with 568 points. The ThunderWolves took third with 329 points, while Barton (Kan.) finished in fourth with 115 points.
CSU Pueblo was paced from their workhorse C Wu, as the senior won her best event, the 400-yard IM on Friday. C Wu won the event with a time of 4:44.36.
Sanchez Guareno won the 200-yard Backstroke, as the Spaniard won the event with a time of 2:12.44, just edging out Western Colorado.
Dannhaus picked up the third win of the weekend for the Pack, as the Wyoming Native won the Women's 100-Yard IM, with a time of 1:03.38 to score big for CSU Pueblo.
The ThunderWolves conclude their fall season at the Trinity Tiger Invite in San Antonio, Texas on November 21-25.Â
