COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) announced the 2023 Baseball All-Academic Teams on Thursday afternoon as Colorado State University Pueblo junior pitcher
Dylan Weaver (Fruita, Colo./Highland CC) earning First-Team All-Academic honors.
In addition to Weaver's first team selection, 14 ThunderWolves were named the RMAC Baseball All-Academic Honor Roll. The 14 honor roll selections were tied for second-most in the league with Colorado Mesa. Regis led the way with 18 honor roll selections.
To be eligible for First Team All-Academic consideration, a student-athlete must carry a 3.50 or above cumulative grade point average and must have been an active student at the institution for at least two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters.
First-Team All-Academic members were voted on by the conference's Sports Information Director and student-athletes not votes onto the First Team, and who carry a 3.30 cumulative GPA or higher, automatically qualify for the Honor Roll. The SIDs weren't allowed to vote for their own student-athletes.
Weaver was one of 12 players on the All-Academic Baseball Team as Colorado Mesa junior infielder Harrison Rodgers was named the league's Baseball Academic Player of the Year as he carries a 3.92 GPA in Sports Management with the nationally-ranked Mavericks.
Colorado School of Mines led the way with three first team selections, while Mesa and MSU Denver had two selections each. Adams State, Regis and UCCS joined CSU Pueblo as having one player recognized.
Weaver, who carries a 3.95 cumulative GPA in Media and Entertainment, earns his first team spot thanks to an outstanding junior season in 2023. Weaver has been one of top pitchers out of the Pack bullpen this season as he leads the team in appearances with 16 and is 3-4 with a 6.17 ERA. In 23.1 innings of work, the right-hander has allowed 33 hits, 25 runs (16 earned runs), while walking 14 and striking out 22, which is fourth-most on the team.He has also recorded a 2.01 WHIP and his 23.1 innings pitched are seventh-best on the team.

Parisi and Portillo are repeat RMAC Academic Honor Roll selections from the 2022 season.
The Pack (18-28 overall, 14-14 RMAC) will take this weekend off before concluding the regular season next weekend (May 4-6) as they host Regis for a four-game series at Rawlings Field. The series will begin with the annual Pack the Park Game on Thursday, May 4 at 7 p.m., before the two teams will play a doubleheader on Friday, May 5 starting at 2 p.m. and then conclude the series on Saturday, May 6 at 1 p.m. Prior to Saturday's game, the Pack will recognize its seniors in a pre-game ceremony.
