LAKEWOOD, Colo. – Due to a forecast that call for rain in the Denver Metro area on Friday, Colorado Christian has announced that is home weekend Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference baseball series with Colorado State University Pueblo has been moved to two doubleheaders on Saturday and Sunday at All-Star Park.
The teams were originally scheduled to open the series on Friday, April 14 with a single game beginning at 3 p.m., before playing a doubleheader on Saturday, April 15 at 12 p.m. and concluding the series with a single game on Sunday, April 16 at 12 p.m.
With the updated schedule, the teams will now play doubleheaders on Saturday and Sunday beginning at 12 p.m., with the second game to follow each day at around 3 p.m.
CCU comes into this weekend's play sporting a 10-22-1 overall record and a 6-10 mark in the RMAC as the Cougars have lost two straight and five of its last six games overall with the lone win being a 6-2 non-conference victory last Friday at MSU Billings.
Meanwhile, the Pack, who concludes a two-game mid-week series game on Wednesday at NCAA Division I University of New Mexico, comes into the weekend sporting a 9-11 mark in the RMAC as they are in fifth place in the league standings with three weeks to go in the regular season.
Following this weekend's four game series at Colorado Christian, the Pack will remain on the road as they travel to Alamosa, Colo., next weekend (April 21-23) for a four-game series at Adams State.
