PUEBLO, Colo. – Colorado State University women's lacrosse will return home for a non-conference game on Thursday, March 16 against Rockhurst University. The game is set for a 2 p.m. start at the Art and Lorraine Gonzales Soccer and Lacrosse Stadium.
The ThunderWolves, who are playing just its second home game of the season, comes into play on Thursday sporting an 0-3 overall record and an 0-2 mark in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, while Rockhurst comes into the contest with a 4-2 record after opening its three-game road swing in Colorado with a 17-7 loss on Tuesday at 24th-ranked Colorado Mesa.
CSU Pueblo hasn't played since suffering a 20-5 setback on Sunday at Colorado Mesa and that loss came less than 48 hours after the Pack opened RMAC play with a 21-18 setback at Westminster.
Through three games this season, the Pack has scored 35 goals and are averaging 11.7 goals per game and are allowing 18.3 goals per game as they have allowed a total of 55 goals, with 41 of those goals coming in its last two games against RMAC foes.
Leading the way offensively for the Pack through three games is senior midfielder
Sedona Sargent (Bellingham, Wash./Sehome), who has scored seven goals and has one of the team's two assists on the year. Sargent also leads the Pack in shots (17), shots on goal (13) and is 2-for-2 on free position shots.

Baylee Mee (Reno, Nev./Galena) and freshman midfielder
Elise Magee (Port Moody, British Columbia/Dr. Charles Best Secondary) have each scored six goals on the season.
Freshman midfielder
Katie Broom (Houston, Texas/Spring) and senior midfielder
Caira Lessick (Oregon City, Ore./Oregon City) have each collected eight ground balls this season and have combined for eight goals as Broom has scored five goals and Lessick has tallied three goals.
Five Pack players have recorded 10 or more shots on the season as along with Sargent's team-leading 17 shots, Broom has taken 13 shots, Mee and sophomore attacker
Parker Delp (Kent Island, Wash./Kent Island) had each taken 11 shots and Magee has taken 10 shots.
On the season, the Pack have been outshot, 111-74 and their opponents hold a 77-60 edge in shots on goal.
CSU Pueblo has 35 draw controls on the season with Lessick (18) and Mee (9) combining for 27 of those 35 draws. The Pack's opponents have recorded 50 draw controls.
Defensively, the Pack has caused 18 turnovers with Lessick leading the way with three, while five others have had two caused turnovers on the year.
Sophomore
Naomi Price-Burton (Aurora, Colo./Grandview) is the team's lone goalkeeper as she has a 18.33 goals allowed average on the season and has collected 22 saves and has had two ground balls and one caused turnovers.
ABOUT ROCKHURST
Rockhurst, who is a member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference and is located in Kansas City, Mo., comes into Thursday's game sporting a 4-2 overall record, but opened their Colorado Spring Break trip with a setback with that 17-7 setback at Colorado Mesa. That loss to the nationally-ranked Mavericks snapped a two game winning streak for the Hawks. CSU Pueblo will be the fourth RMAC school that Rockhurst will have played this season as they are currently 1-2 against the RMAC with the losses coming at home to nationally-ranked Regis (17-9) and on the road to Colorado Mesa and the lone win came at home against UCCS, 18-7. The Hawks will face Fort Lewis on Saturday, March 18 in a neutral site contest in Pueblo.
Senior attacker Dani Mabry leads the way for Rockhurst offensively with 14 goals and seven assists in six games this season. She has been strong against RMAC teams this season as she has scored 10 goals and added five assists in three games against RMAC competition. Graduate student attacker Logan Derosia leads the 'Hawks in goals with 15 and is shots with 36, while sophomore midfielder Reagan Danner has scored nine goals, including tallying hat tricks against both UCCS and Colorado Mesa.
Senior midfielder Christine Corbin (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) has led the way on the draw for the 'Hawks with 31, while senior midfielder Mackenzie Blair has had 24 draws and leads in ground balls with 18 and junior midfielder Kelly Marion has had 20 on the year.
The Hawks have outshot their opponents, 178-152 and hold a 124-119 edge in shots on goal on the season. Rockhurst has also won 92 draws as opposed to 62 for their opponents.
Rockhurst has rotated goaltenders this season, with senior Sydney Shindler getting all six starts but allowing 29 goals against 30 saves. Madeline Morrison has seen time in all six games this year and allowing 32 goals while stopping 24 shots.
Thursday's match-up with Rockhurst will mark the seventh meeting all-time in the series with the 'Hawks holding a 4-2 lead in the series, but the Pack have lost four straight games in the series, including suffering a 19-1 loss last season in Pueblo. Following Thursday's game with Rockhurst, the Pack will hit the road for two games next week on the East Coast as they will face Erskine College on Tuesday, March 21 at 5 p.m. ET and then play on Wednesday, March 22 at Catawba College at 7 p.m. ET
