VISTA, Calif. (February 14, 2023) - No. 14 Colorado State University Pueblo men's golf began the spring season with a second place finish and junior
Matt Millar took home his third first-place in five outings in the 2022-23 year, finishing nine strokes ahead at the Fujikura Invitational at the Shadowridge Country Club.
Millar carded a 207 69-66-72 and shot an even par during round three to secure the individual title. He recorded eleven birdies and hit 41 pars during the three rounds.Â
Millar posted a field best 2.83 par 3 scoring and 3.90 par 4 scoring.
Jamie Roberts finished his tournament T-4th and shot a +6 in Tuesday's final round. Roberts carded 68-69-78-215 overall and hit an eagle and posted 11 birdies.
Finishing T-39th,
Liam Duncan scored 229 and posted his best score 2-under in the third round, ending his week with 78-81-70 scores in three rounds.
Jeffrey Nelson and
Archie Wyatt both ended +16 232 good for T-48th, rounding out the field for the ThunderWolves.
CSU Pueblo will next compete March 6-7 at the Desert Classic in Las Vegas, Nevada.
