LEXINGTON, Ky. – For the second consecutive year and just the fifth time in program history, Colorado State University Pueblo volleyball has a player named an AVCA Division II All-Region selection.

Sadie Scoville (Pleasant Grove, Utah/Pleasant Grove) was named a 2023 Honorable Mention American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-South Central Region honoree.
Scoville joins redshirt sophomore outside hitter
Payton Van Veen (Springfield, Mo./Washburn University) earned Honorable Mention AVCA All-Region honors last season, while Amy Little earned AVCA All-Region honors in 1999 and Angie Wintz was named an AVCA All-Region selection in 1997 and 1996.

Scoville, who was named a Second-Team All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference selection, earns her Honorable Mention AVCA All-Region honor after being second on the team in kills (291) and kills per set (2.80) and led the Pack in digs (318), digs per set (3.06) and was also second in aces with 37, fourth in blocks with 46 and hit .257. Additionally, she led the team with 13 double-doubles and posted 18 double-digit kills matches. In RMAC play, she recorded 162 kills and averaged 3.00 kills, 3.31 digs and 0.52 blocks and 0.33 aces per set.
For the AVCA All-Region honors, each of the eight NCAA regions had 14 All-Region first team honorees and six honorable mention selections. In addition, each Region had a Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year and Coach of the Year.
CSU Pueblo is part of the South Central Region that includes schools from both the RMAC and the Lone Star Conference. Scoville was one of 11 players named AVCA All-South Central Region from the RMAC.
Dallas Baptist senior outside hitter Delaney Fuller was named the Region Player of the Year, while UT Tyler's Shaye Koski was named the Region Freshman of the Year and Regis' Joel List was named the Region Coach of the Year.
Scoville was joined on the Honorable Mention All-South Central Region Team by West Texas A&M senior middle blocker Carly Evetts, Texas A&M-Kingsville senior middle blocker Ayanna Jackson, South Dakota Mines junior right side hitter Alessandra Meoni, Texas Woman's junior right side hitter Kaia Saylor and MSU Denver senior right side hitter Maddy Williams.
The AVCA South Central All-Region Team consisted of Fuller, MSU Denver junior outside hitter Riley Anderson, West Texas A&M sophomore right side hitter Emma Becker, Regis senior middle blocker Nadine Burbrink, West Texas A&M junior libero Bryli Contreras, Angelo State senior right side hitter Hannah Kinnison, Colorado Mesa junior outside hitter Sydney Leffler, Regis senior setter Mara LeGrand, West Texas A&M senior outside hitter Torrey Miller, Regis graduate student right side hitter Klaudia Sowizral, Colorado Mesa senior middle blocker Savananh Spitzer, West Texas A&M sophomore middle blocker Taytum Stow and Colorado Mesa junior seeter Sabrina VanDeList.
Scoville helped the Pack complete the 2023 season with a 13-14 overall record and tied for fourth in the RMAC with a 10-4 record. The ThunderWolves' earned the No. 5 seed in the RMAC Tournament where they fell in five sets in the quarterfinals to No. 4 seeded South Dakota Miines.
