PUEBLO, Colo. - Colorado State University Pueblo Volleyball added another postseason milestone on Wednesday, as two ThunderWolves were selected to the 2025 D2CCA All-South Central Region Teams. Senior outside hitter Caelyn Gunn was named to the First Team, while junior setter Elena Stankovic earned Second Team recognition.
The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) also announced its All-Region Teams, with Gunn and Stankovic both earning AVCA First Team All-Region honors, while senior middle blocker Golden Finch was named AVCA Honorable Mention All-Region. Finch, who was also a Second Team All-RMAC selection, adds another accolade to a standout senior season.
Because of these recognitions, Gunn is now eligible for All-American honors through both the D2CCA and the AVCA, while Stankovic advances to the AVCA All-America ballot. Finch, as an honorable mention selection, caps her career with AVCA regional recognition as well.
Gunn, the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Player of the Year, capped off a dominant senior campaign with one of the region's top offensive performances. She finished the year with 391 kills, averaging 3.99 kills per set while hitting .223 on more than 1,100 total attacks. Gunn added 321 digs (3.28 per set), 18 service aces, and 32 total blocks, ending the season with 427.5 total points. Her elite, six-rotation reliability solidified her as one of the premier outside hitters in the South Central region.
Stankovic, the RMAC Setter of the Year, continued her rise with a season that featured 898 assists (9.76 per set), while also contributing 212 digs (2.30 per set), 36 service aces, 53 total blocks, and 155.5 points. Her ability to run a balanced and efficient offense, paired with her defensive and blocking presence, positioned her among the region's top setters.
Finch, a senior middle blocker, delivered a strong two-way season that earned her AVCA Honorable Mention status. She posted 179 kills while hitting .353 and anchored CSU Pueblo's defense at the net with 100 total blocks—an average of 1.09 blocks per set. Her efficiency, physicality, and consistency made her one of the most impactful middles in the RMAC this season.
The South Central Region includes programs from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and Lone Star Conference, with D2CCA selections voted on by sports information directors across the region. D2CCA First Team honorees, including Gunn, advance to the national ballot for All-America consideration, while all AVCA First Team selections, including Gunn and Stankovic, move on to the AVCA All-America evaluation stage.
CSU Pueblo now turns its attention to the NCAA Tournament. The ThunderWolves will compete in the first round on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Auraria Events Center on the campus of MSU Denver, where they will take on West Texas A&M.
