The Pack's only offense came in the seventh inning. Zach Hoffman (Jr., South Jordan, Utah), Chris Devery (Jr., Saugus, Calif.), and Derron Davis (Sr., Las Vegas, Nev.) all reached base on well-placed, bunt singles.

With the bases loaded, David Gunther (Sr., Albuquerque, N.M.) roped a single to left the drove in Hoffman and Devery. An error allowed Brandon Castaneda (Sr., Azusa, Calif.) to score later in the inning. Castaneda had reached on a fielder's choice and stole a base.

Devery finished 2-for-3 and was the only Pack player with two hits. In addition to accounting for two of the team's seven hits, Devery also drew one of the Pack's six walks as he upped his on base percentage to.460.

The Grizzlies wanted no part of Ambrose Romero (Jr., Albuquerque, N.M.). The Pack's catcher walked in each of his four trips to the dish, one of which was intentional. His four free passes were just one shy of the RMAC record. Romero leads Pack regulars with a .474 OBP.

Josh Keaton of Adams State ended up on the wrong end of the pitcher's duel and fell to 3-5. He allowed seven hits and five walks, while striking out 10 over 7.1 innings.

These two teams will meet again Sunday at 12 p.m. at Rawlings Field. The Pack and Grizzlies will both play New Mexico Highlands Saturday. CSU-Pueblo will host the Cowboys at 1 p.m.
