In the sixth inning, the Mavericks tacked on four runs to go in front 6-1. CSU-Pueblo got one run back in the top of the seventh. Castaneda hit a single to bring in Telander to make it 6-2.  However, the Pack would leave the bases loaded in the seventh and the Mavericks pulled out the 6-2 win.
