Pack tennis at MSU Denver Friday; Hosts CC Sunday

PUEBLO, Colo. (April 8, 2016) – The Colorado State University-Pueblo men's and women's tennis teams continue Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play Friday at Metro State University of Denver before wrapping the home schedule Sunday, April 10 in nonconference meeting with Colorado College. 

The match versus MSU Denver begins at 10 a.m. at Regency Athletic Complex. The Roadrunner men are 7-13 overall and 1-1 in conference, while the women are 5-15 overall with a 1-1 RMAC record.

Sunday's match against Colorado College is set for 10 a.m. at the Pueblo City Park. The match is the final at home before the ThunderWolves host the 2016 RMAC Tennis Tournament April 22-23 at Pueblo City Park. The CC men are 6-12 overall, while the Tiger women are 9-7.

The Pack men are 4-16 overall with an 0-1 RMAC record. Sophomore Steven Alcala (Pueblo, Colo.) earned the lone victory at No. 2 singles for the Pack against No. 23 Brigham Young University-Hawaii and owns a 9-13 record at singles. The pairing of sophomores David Mould (Upminster Essex, United Kingdom) and Siggy Menzel (Biggera Waters, Australia) have three wins at No. 1 doubles.

The women own a 2-17 record with an 0-1 mark in league play. Senior Teresa Haro (Monument, Colo.) leads the team with eight singles wins.

As a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, Colorado State University – Pueblo competes in 22 varsity sports in NCAA Division II intercollegiate athletics.
