Alcala nabs win at No. 2 singles in Pack loss

RESULTS

PUEBLO, Colo. (April 5, 2016) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo men's tennis team lost 8-1 at the hands of No. 23 Brigham Young University-Hawaii Tuesday at Pueblo Tennis Club.

Sophomore Steven Alcala (Pueblo, Colo.) earned the lone victory for the Pack, as he won his third match of the season at No. 2 singles by the score of 6-3 and 6-1.

The pairing of sophomores David Mould (Upminster Essex, United Kingdom) and Siggy Menzel (Biggera Waters, Australia) forced a tiebreak at No. 1 doubles, but fell 9-8 (7-1).

The Pack return to Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play April 8 at Metro State University of Denver. CSU-Pueblo will host Colorado College April 10 at 10 a.m. in the final home dual before hosting the RMAC Championships April 22-23.
