PUEBLO, Colo. (March 1, 2020) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo men's tennis team suffered a 6-1 loss Saturday against NCAA Division I Montana State University in the spring season opener at Pueblo City Park.

The ThunderWolves earned the doubles point by winning both the No. 1 and No. 2 singles matches. At No. 1, sophomores Edward Cooper (Wolverhampton, United Kingdom) and Richard Garcia (Bolton, United Kingdom) combined for a 6-4 victory. At the No. 2 spot, seniors Daniel Garcia (Riverside, Calif.) and Rafael Abreu (Piedade, Brazil) went to work and picked up a 6-4 win.

Unfortunately, the Pack couldn't gain a victory in singles play. Cooper won his first set 6-3 at No. 2 singles, but dropped the second set 6-3. He lost in the third set tiebreaker by the score of 10-4.
