RESULTS
PUEBLO, Colo. (April 10, 2016) – The Colorado State University-Pueblo women's tennis team lost its final home match of the season before hosting the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament April 22-23. The ThunderWolves lost 6-3 to Colorado College at Pueblo City Park.
The Pack (2-19, 0-2 RMAC) got an 8-0 win at No. 3 doubles, as the pair of Samantha Cachutt (So., Caracas, Miranda) and Brooke Trevithick (Sr., Pueblo, Colo.) got the win.
Senior Mariana Hosomi (Sao Paulo, Brazil) won at No. 1 singles with a 6-2, 7-6 (10-3) result to post her fifth win of the season at the top spot. At No. 4 singles, Kristin Jensen (So., Colorado Springs, Colo.) won 6-3, 6-3.
The ThunderWolves lost in the third set at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, narrowly missing out on their first win of the spring season.
Prior to the match, the ThunderWolves honored seniors Toni Alvarez (Pueblo, Colo.), Teresa Haro (Monument, Colo.), Hosomi and Trevithick.
CSU-Pueblo concludes regular season play this week with a pair of RMAC road matches. April 13 the ThunderWolves travel to Colorado Christian University at 3:30 p.m.and will battle Colorado Mesa University April 16 at 11 a.m.
