Box Score Daktronics All-Region Release
SAN ANGELO, Texas (May 14, 2015) – Colorado State University-Pueblo baseball seniors Mike Wagner (Golden, Colo.) and Zac Wittmus (Brighton, Colo.) received more postseason hardware Wednesday as both players were named to the Daktronics South Central Second-Team.
In addition to the Daktronics all-region nod, Wagner was tabbed to the NCBWA all-region first team, RMAC all-conference first team and RMAC Gold Glove squad. The senior finished the regular season ranked in the top-10 in the conference in numerous offensive categories, including triples, batting average, on-base percentage, hit-by-pitches, hits, slugging percentage, RBIs, total bases and walks. Wagner is currently hitting .400 with five home runs, 45 RBIs, 40 runs and 23 walks. Defensively, Wagner has 75 putouts, three assists and a .963 fielding percentage. It is the first Daktronics all-region honor of Wagner's career.
Wittmus finished the regular season ranked in the top five in the RMAC in innings pitched, games started, ERA, strikeouts, on-base percentage and wins. The right hander is 7-2 on the season with a 2.66 ERA, 84.2 innings pitched and 77 strikeouts. Wittmus adds the Daktronics all-region honor to his NCBWA all-region and RMAC all-conference first-team awards.
Austin Wallingford of Colorado Mesa was named the South Central Region Player of the Year, while Angelo State's Steve Naemark was tabbed pitcher of the year.

The ThunderWolves are set to take part in this week's NCAA South Central Region Tournament in Grand Junction, Colo. The Pack earned the No. 4 seed for the tournament and square off against No. 3 seed Angelo State Thursday at noon at Colorado Mesa's Suplizio Field.
