Men's and women's tennis post matching 7-2 victories versus CCU Thursday

PUEBLO, Colo. (April 2, 2015) ­– The Colorado State University-Pueblo men's and women's tennis teams each won against Colorado Christian University Thursday in its Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference matches at Pueblo City Park.

The Pack men (4-11) won 7-2, as Gael Reitter (Sr., Choisy-le-Roi, France) won at No. 2 singles (6-0, 6-1) accounting for one of five singles victories. Luke Lipinski (Fr., Austin, Texas) and Steven Alcala (Fr. Pueblo, Colo.) won at No. 2 doubles, 8-5. Four Pack athletes totaled two wins on the day.

Freshman Patricia Maya (San Luis Potos, Mexico) gained a team point at No. 1 singles in the women's (4-7) 7-2 win. Junior Brooke Trevithick (Pueblo, Colo.) joined Maya at No. 1 doubles winning 8-3 and accounting for one of two doubles victories. Maya, Trevithick and Mariana Hosami (Jr., Sao Paulo, Brazil) all went 2-0 on the day.

Both CSU-Pueblo teams remain at home for their next match against Montana State University-Billings April 4 beginning at 2:30 p.m. The match is set for Pueblo City Park and will continue Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play.
