Men's and women's tennis teams suffer home losses to Cameron

PUEBLO, Colo. (March 30, 2015) ­– The Colorado State University-Pueblo men's and women's tennis teams each lost to Cameron University Monday in nonconference matches at Pueblo City Park.

The Pack men (3-11) fell 8-1, as Gael Reitter (Sr., Choisy-le-Roi, France) and Marcelo Chaparro (Sr. Bogota, Coumbia) won at No. 3 doubles, 8-6, to account for the lone team point for the ThunnderWolves.

Junior Brooke Trevithick (Pueblo, Colo.) gained a team point at No. 6 singles in the women's 7-2 loss. After splitting the first two sets against Cameron's D. Veljic, 6-7 (7-1) and 6-3, Trevithick won a tiebreaker set 10-8. Teresa Haro (Jr., Monument, Colo.) and Mariana Hosomi (Jr. Sao Paulo, Brazil) gained the second team point for the Pack (3-7) as the No. 3 doubles pair, winning 8-4.

Both CSU-Pueblo teams remain at home for its next two matches, starting with Colorado Christian University April 2 beginning at 3 p.m. The match is set for Pueblo City Park and will open Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play.
