GREELEY, Colo. (February 6, 2014) – The Colorado State University-Pueblo women's and men's tennis teams battled a tough NCAA Division I University of Northern Colorado Friday in the season opener, falling 6-1 and 9-0, respectively.
The Pack women's team won their first singles match with the help of freshman Patricia Maya (San Luis Potos, Mexico) who downed UNC's Chrissie Hoolahan, 7-6, 6-1, respectively. The ThunderWolves would fall in the remainder of the singles and doubles contests.
The men just couldn't find a singles or doubles victory and would lose 9-0.
The next match of the season for both squads will be Feb. 13 at Arizona Christian beginning at noon.
